China Southern Airlines boosts its frequency into Perth
Perth Airport has welcomed the announcement that China Southern Airlines will add more services between Perth and Guangzhou.
The airline will deploy a daily service between 1 December 2026 and 10 March 2027 to provide additional capacity between Western Australia and China during the busy Chinese New Year holiday season.
Over this 14-week holiday period, 55,200 seats will be available to the market.
Perth Airport Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer Kate Holsgrove said the move reflected growing confidence in the Western Australian market and would further strengthen links between Western Australia and China.
“Moving to daily services over this period will support inbound tourism, business travel, international education, visiting friends and relatives, and trade between Western Australia and China.
“We have worked closely with the State Government to further develop our partnership with China Southern Airlines, and this announcement shows that has now paid dividends as we further connect Western Australia and mainland China.
“This announcement is another milestone in the successful partnership between Perth Airport and China Southern Airlines, which spans more than 15 years and has provided a vital connection between China and Western Australia.”
“It also builds on our Sister Airport partnership with Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, which is focused on identifying opportunities to grow tourism, trade and economic development between our two cities.”

Coupled with China's 30-day visa-free policy for Australian passport holders, travel for business or leisure is easier and more accessible than ever.”
“This expanded schedule also provides Western Australians frictionless access through our Guangzhou hub to China Southern’s broad international network, spanning key markets across Europe, Japan, South Asia, and beyond."
The airline will operate seven services per week on its B787-9 aircraft.
